Brett Lorenzo Favre is an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He was the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers . Favre started at the quarterback position for The University of Southern Mississippi for four years before being selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. After one season with the Falcons, Favre was traded to the Green Bay Packers. He became the Packers' starting quarterback in the fourth game of the NFL season, starting every game from then on until his retirement. Favre came out of retirement and was traded to the New York Jets.
