Matthew Dodge Nokes (born October 31, 1963, in San Diego, California) is a former Major League Baseball catcher with an 11 year MLB career from 1985 to 1995. He played 902 total games for the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies both of the National League, and the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles all of the American League. In addition to catcher, Nokes played at first base, third base, outfield, and designated hitter through his career.
